The Bible says "Love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus calls this admonition the "Second table of the law." Second Table Ministries is our simple response to Jesus’ summary of God’s expectations for His people. We are seeking to respond ourselves and we are working to help others respond with us.
There is an enormous difference in income levels of the rich and poor in the world. Richard Stearns in his book, The Hole in Our Gospel, says, “If you make $50,000 per year, you are wealthier than 99 percent of the world; of the 6.7 billion people on earth almost half of them live on less than two dollars a day.” 
Every single day 30,000 children die as a result of malnutrition and starvation. Imagine this! It is the equivalent of ten 9/11 catastrophies every day.
We believe this is an injustice and we want to do our part.
