WHAT DO WE MEAN BY "SECOND TABLE?"
The Bible says "Love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus calls this admonition the "Second table of the law." Second Table Ministries is our simple response to Jesus' summary of God's expectations for His people. We are seeking to respond ourselves and we are working to help others respond with us.
Our world is a contrast between wealth and poverty. Someone has said that of the 6.5 billion people in the world, one-third are starving, another one-third are underfed, and one-third are well fed.
Every single day 30,000 children die as a result of malnutrition and starvation. Imagine this! It is the equivalent of ten 9/11 catastrophies every day.
We believe this is an injustice and we want to do our part.
